TEACHING AND SUPERVISION OVERVIEW

My own academic background influences by approach to teaching. I am contributing to physics-routed teaching in different modules across Foundation Year (Medicine and Physiotherapy) and the BSc ATT program.

 

My passion for research informs my teaching. With the help of Brenton Cavanagh, I have created an optional module for MPharm students on Light Microscopy which utilises a mix of interactive teaching methods (lectures, practical workshops, image analysis workshops, group project work).

 

My teaching has been recognised by: 

  • 2021 Teaching Hero Award, National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning and the Union of Students in Ireland.
  • 2024 Excellence in Teaching Award for Foundation Year, RCSI.
