RESEARCH OVERVIEW
I am interested in early life environmental risk and predictive factors for mental illness. I collaborate with colleagues in Finland on a number of large cohort studies looking at pregnancy and childhood factors that increase risk for schizophrenia. I also work with Irish colleagues on data examining risk and protective factors in adolescent mental health. I am involved in epidemiological, cognitive and neuroimaging aspects of these projects. I am also interested in shared familial and environmental risk factors across psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
