TEACHING AND SUPERVISION OVERVIEW
Olga has extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership across population health and health systems disciplines, including modules on quantitative methodologies. At RCSI, she plays a key role in the MSc in Population Health Leadership, where she Leads on Module 5 (Leadership, Governance & Policy in Population Health Ecosystems) and co-leads Module 1 (Optimising Population Health Leadership). She also contributes to Modules 6, 7, and 8 in the areas of implementation science, ethics, and decision-making for population health. Her teaching focuses on equipping students with critical skills in systems thinking, policy analysis, and evidence-informed leadership, with an emphasis on real-world application and cross-sector collaboration.
Olga holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor role with the Centre for Health Policy and Management in Trinity College Dublin where she is Module Lead for Population Health Management on the MSc in Health Policy and Management. She designed this module to equip students with the understanding and skills required to implement complex population health management approaches. Students gain skills in health intelligence, population stratification, and service design, drawing on both international best practice and Irish health system reform.
Her teaching across both institutions is informed by her background in policy and health service leadership, creating a strong link between academic learning and applied systems change. Her teaching approach prioritises interdisciplinary learning, inclusive pedagogy, and critical engagement with issues of equity, ethics, and implementation. She has supervised a wide range of MSc students from diverse backgrounds and actively supports the development of future population health leaders through mentorship, applied learning, and curriculum innovation.
