ProfFrank Moriarty

Frank is Year 4/Year 5 lead on the MPharm programme, with responsibility for on-campus semester across these senior cycle years, and module lead/co-lead for several MPharm module. This includes the Professional Development 4 and Professional Development 5 modules, as well as the Year 4 Evidence Based Medicine module, where he leads on content focused on applying evidence to clinical decision-making. As module co-lead, he contributed to the development of the Year 5 Patient Care and Society module, where he delivers teaching on topics including multimorbidity, overmedicalisation and deprescribing.

He also delivers postgraduate education both internally in RCSI and to professional groups through the Irish Institute of Pharmacy and Irish College of General Practitioners. This includes topics such as research methods and study design, open research, critical appraisal skills, polypharmacy, medication review and deprescribing.
