PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
I make a sustained contribution to academic leadership, professional service, and the wider research and education community. I hold key leadership roles including Honorary Secretary of the Irish Association for Cancer Research and membership of the Society for Endocrinology Scientific Committee, contributing to governance, strategic direction, and conference organisation.
Within RCSI, I contribute to institutional committees, such as the Awards and Qualification Committee, programme leadership, and strategic initiatives, including equality, diversity, and inclusion through implementation of Universal Design for Learning and participation in the Visibility Forum. I also engage actively in international collaborations, knowledge exchange, and public-facing initiatives, such as organising interdisciplinary symposia that connect researchers, clinicians, and patients.
Through these activities, I support the advancement of my discipline, the strengthening of academic communities, and the alignment of research and education with societal needs.
