Poster prize - Pat Barron Perpetual Trophy. National Prevention & Integrated Diabetes Care Conference.
This collaborative research with RCSI colleagues and HSE partners focused on aspects relating to recruitment of women with prior gestational diabetes into a tailored pilot diabetes prevention programme for women. The award was presented at the 2025 National Prevention and Integrated Diabetes Care Conference.
The conference brought together leaders across cardiovascular prevention, diabetes care, public health, behavioural science, and nursing under the theme “In the Spirit of Integration – Better Together". The event highlighted the power of integrated clinical models, shared risk-factor approaches, and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
