DrSteffi Tiburcius

Dr. Steffi Tiburcius is an Irish Research Council (IRC) Enterprise Partnership Scheme (EPS) Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). She is a multidisciplinary researcher with a passion for developing targeted, patient-specific treatments that address complex diseases at their roots.

Her current work focuses on personalized assessment tools for novel orthobiologic therapies, targeting inflammatory pathways in bone and cartilage to better manage osteoarthritis and joint disease, bridging the gap between basic science and clinical relevance using tools from biotechnology, immunology, and materials science. Previously, she developed targeted nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems for prostate cancer, improving precision and reducing side effects.
