BIOGRAPHY
Valéria has a Bachelor degree in Marine sciences (Brazil), in Biology (Germany), a Masters in History and Philosophy of Science (UK) , a specialization in Biometrics (Germany) and a PhD in Applied Statistics (the Netherlands). From 2005 to 2021, Valeria was Assistant Professor at the department of Methodology and Statistics at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences , Maastricht University, the Netherlands. In this capacity, her main duties concentrated on education, research and consultation. She has taught introductory and advanced courses in research methods and statistics in bachelor, master programs as well as for PhDs researchers. As statistical consultant, she regularly engaged researchers from distinct areas of expertise and faculties in medical and health sciences.
